¡El Bar Británico es uno de los Cafés Notables de la Ciudad! Originalmente establecido como la pulpería “La Cosechera” en 1926, este bar recibe su nombre posteriormente por ser muy frecuentado por los ingleses que vivían en el área y eran empleados de la empresa Ferrocarril del Sud, que operaba el tren que partía desde la Estación Constitución, a pocas cuadras de este lugar.
El Británico tenía la costumbre de permanecer abierto las 24 horas por lo que se convirtió en un refugio de personalidades de la cultura y la bohemia, entre ellos, el escritor Ernesto Sábado, habitué del lugar mientras escribía su novela “Sobre Héroes y Tumbas”, que encuentra inspiración en el entorno del Parque Lezama.

You are in the Bar Británico, one of the City's Notable Cafés!
