The City of Buenos Aires is committed to being carbon neutral, resilient and inclusive.
In 2016 it adhered to the Sustainable Development Goals:
SDG 11: Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
SDG 13: Take urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects.In 2017 it adhered to the commitment to become a carbon neutral, resilient and inclusive city by 2050, an initiative promoted by the C40 network.
How are we going to achieve these goals?
Through the Climate Action Plan, which establishes actions, instruments and strategies for adaptation and mitigation to climate change to reduce human vulnerability and natural systems.

The design process of CAP 2050, which began in early 2019, was developed by more than 30 government areas, in coordination with the C40 network and with the collaboration of an Advisory Council made up of 15 experts. In addition, contributions from different spaces for participation were added, such as the Forum to Fight Climate Change, workshops with older adults, meetings with the private sector and with civil society organizations that make up the Advisory Council on Environment and Sustainable Development.
