El Palacio Raggio es de principios del siglo XX, sin embargo, el predio estuvo ocupado desde los tiempos de la colonia, cuando fue propiedad de la familia Ortiz de Rozas, a la cual perteneció el Gobernador de Buenos Aires Juan Manuel de Rosas.
A principios del siglo XX, los hermanos Lorenzo, José y Benito Raggio, propietarios de la firma de almacenes de ramos generales Raggio Hnos, compraron la propiedad y encargaron la construcción de este edificio al arquitecto suizo Lorenzo Siegerist, quien desarrolló un proyecto con influencias del academicismo francés. Finalmente, el Palacio fue construido entre 1907 y 1910.
En la planta baja funcionaban los almacenes de ramos generales de la firma Raggio Hermanos y en los pisos superiores estaban los departamentos de renta que administraba la empresa, organizados en un sistema de patios interiores hacia los cuales dan a los balcones las distintas unidades. Una de las características originales del edificio fue el diseño de un pasaje interior en la planta baja, requerido por los Raggio para el ingreso de mercaderías, para evitar el congestionamiento de las calles angostas que lo circundaban, resultado del intenso movimiento que tenía la tienda.
Desde fines de los 70 el edificio se encontraba en estado de abandono por lo que fue vendido y, en 2012, comenzó su rehabilitación y renovación. El esquema original y la galería perimetral fueron preservados, se recuperó la planta baja con un gran lobby y los pisos superiores se convirtieron en residencias y estudios. En el entrepiso se instaló una sala de exposición de obras de arte y un restaurante, ambos abiertos al público.

The Raggio Palace dates back to the early 20th century, however, the property was occupied since colonial times, when it was owned by the Ortiz de Rozas family, to which the Governor of Buenos Aires Juan Manuel de Rosas belonged.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the brothers Lorenzo, José and Benito Raggio, owners of the general stores firm Raggio Bros., bought the property and commissioned the construction of this building to the Swiss architect Lorenzo Siegerist, who developed a project influenced by French academicism. Finally, the Palace was built between 1907 and 1910.
On the first floor there were the general stores of the firm Raggio Hermanos and on the upper floors there were the rental apartments managed by the company, organized in a system of interior courtyards towards which the balconies of the different units overlooked. One of the original features of the building was the design of an interior passageway on the first floor, required by the Raggio family for the arrival of merchandise, in order to avoid the congestion of the narrow streets that surrounded it, as a result of the intense movement of the store.
Since the late 1970s the building was in a state of decay so it was sold and, in 2012, its restoration and renovation began. The original layout and the perimeter gallery were preserved, the first floor was rebuilt with a large lobby and the upper floors turned into residences and studios. An art showroom and a restaurant, both open to the public, were installed on the mezzanine.
