Esta conferencia performática analiza la práctica artística de Claire, específicamente el uso/mal uso, el estudio y la distorsión de las muletas y cómo estas le dan forma a su práctica. En un sentido amplio, su trabajo se ha desplazado desde investigaciones sobre la conexión entre las muletas y el cuerpo –lo que es posible en la combinación de muletas con su cuerpo y el de otros– hasta la forma en que las muletas la conectan con el mundo.
This lecture demonstration explores Claire’s artistic practice – specifically the use / misuse, study and distortion of crutches and how they shape her own artistic practice. In the widest sense her work has shifted from its explorations about the connection between the crutches and the body – what is possible in the combination of the crutches with her and other bodies – to how the crutches connect her to the world.
